Norwich, 24 May 2004
Burger lovers should get ready for a whopper of a party
as Burger King today announced the opening of a brand new restaurant in
Norwich City Centre on Monday, May 24, 2004. The new restaurant, located
in St. Stephen Street, will generate more than 30 jobs for the Norwich
area.
“Norwich has long been a prime area for the expansion of
our Burger King restaurant network,” said Andrew Pickett, Burger King
Director of Development. “Having found a great location in the centre
of Norwich, we didn’t hesitate to add to the ever growing list of more
than 700 Burger King restaurants that are now open nationwide. Everyone
involved is excited about the new restaurant and we are glad to offer
the people of Norwich another place to enjoy the BK experience.”
Burger King is all about choice and now Norwich has three
different restaurants to choose from, as well as the ‘Have It Your Way’
menu. A broad range of special offers and meal deals will also be available,
including great value Kids Meals, the full Whopper range, flame-grilled
sandwiches and chicken, fish and vegetarian burgers.
“We are really looking forward to the opening of the St.
Stephen Street restaurant,” said Lamen Reddy, Operations Manager Cairnserve
Ltd, Burger King franchisee. “Norwich is a fantastic city and we are pleased
to bring another quality convenience food option to the city centre. We
couldn’t have picked a better time to arrive in Norwich, with the city
buzzing from the recent promotion of the Canaries. We wish the team the
best of luck for next season and hope the restaurant will be as successful
as they have been.”
