The country is united in their feelings for Simon Cowell
and Naomi Campbell - we’d hate to work for them! |
Monday 4th October, London To support the
launch of its new advertising campaign, BURGER KING‚ (BK) has given the
nation the chance to speak up loud and clear today in its ‘You’re the
Boss’‘ survey. Love them or loathe them, when it comes to the boss, you’ve
got an opinion.
Branson was voted top dog and takes the crown as the nation’s favourite
celebrity boss. Next up were The Osbournes; apparently their madhouse
would be the perfect workplace for many of us. The Beckhams came in third
place followed by Tony Blair. Supermodel Naomi Campbell came bottom of
the list closely followed by high-flyer and high-trouser wearer Simon
Cowell.
The survey also asked who the nation’s favourite TV character boss is.
Basil Fawlty (Fawlty Towers) and David Brent (The Office) fought it out
for the top spot with EastEnder’s Ian Beale and Ab Fab’s Patsy and Edina
and ‘ole Captain Mannering vying for the limelight as the boss we’d least
like to work for.
BURGER KING® surveyed over 1,300 consumers to support the launch of its
new ‘You’re the Boss’™ brand campaign, which celebrates the fact that
at BK you are in control and can have your sandwich any way you choose.
The campaign launches this month with a series of quirky TV ads and restaurant
offers. The first ad hits our screens at 18.45pm today (October 4th) during
the Hollyoaks break.
BURGER KING® Marketing Director Paul Reynish said, “’You’re the Boss’™
encapsulates the BK philosophy. At BURGER KING‚ we treat our customers
as individuals. Everyone is different and everyone wants to eat different
things. You might love pickles, whereas others might want extra onions
or cheese. At BURGER KING® you can ‘Have It Your Way’.”
Reynish continues, “The survey shows that when it comes to our own bosses,
the nation prefers the maverick, the individual and the person willing
to respect you no one likes to be bossed about. At some point in your
life everyone has a desire to be in charge, that’s why at BURGER KING®,
you’re always the boss.”
