BURGER KING® has today, 3rd November, launched a chicken sandwich
that’'s the ‘'breast’' ever! The new TenderCrispTM chicken
sandwich, which has already proved a big hit in the States, is BURGER KING’'s®
biggest ever chicken sandwich, weighing in at 5.2 oz. of premium chicken
fillet*. And it’'s not just the sandwich that is proving a knockout,
the website in support of it, www.chickenfight.com,
has had a staggering number of visits since it was launched last week.
“There are two versions of the sandwich,” comments BURGER
KING’'s® UK Marketing Director, Paul Reynish, “the original
TenderCrisp TM, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the
Spicy TenderCrisp TM, which has a rich and bold spicy sauce. The website
pits the two world-class sandwiches against each other in a winner takes
all world championship fight. It’'s a bit of fun that has really
captured the public’'s imagination.”
BURGER KING’'s® consumer research revealed that a growing number
of customers wanted an innovative chicken product that would satisfy their
hunger and challenge their palate. The TenderCrisp TM sandwich comes with
exercises to warm up the mouth to make sure nothing is strained and for
the Spicy version, there’'s a few precautionary measures, including
pre-cooling your mouth with a couple of ice cubes, as the sauce is so
hot!
"We’'re confident that TenderCrisp TM will be as big a success
in the UK as it was in the States,” concludes Paul Reynish. “"It
