Today, BURGER KING® launched ‘Smokey Blue Angus' in the UK with an advertising and integrated marketing campaign, in celebration of the 'poshest' burger on the high street.
The Smokey Blue follows the successful launch of The Angus, in November last year. The Angus, the only burger from a fast food restaurant with accreditation from the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society, is made from 100% flame grilled fully certified Aberdeen Angus beef sourced from farmers in the UK and Ireland.
The Smokey Blue Angus adds an extra gourmet touch to The Angus, and is made from 100% flame grilled fully certified Aberdeen Angus beef topped with a blue cheese flavoured mayonnaise, Applewood smoked bacon and tangy steakhouse sauce.
The launch will be supported by a four-week TV advertising campaign airing from 6th August 2007 and created by Crispin Porter + Bogusky. The tongue-in-cheek spots entitled ‘too posh' are a celebration of the fact that Burger King is making ‘posh' burgers available to everyone.
In addition, www.myposhtwin.com, which launches today, gives users opportunity to upload a photo of themselves which will then be transformed into their posh alter-ego.

The Smokey Blue Angus will be available for £3.79 at Burger King restaurant throughout the UK & Ireland until 30th September
